Lifeguards

Seasonal Position

30 Hours/Week

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE OR REQUIREMENTS:

  • Red Cross Lifeguard or Basic Water Rescue certification required.

  • Weekend and Holiday shifts required.

EDUCATION LEVEL:

HS Diploma or equivalent required.

 

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

This is a seasonal position, training will be provided. Performs all other duties as assigned. (We will be holding certification/re-certification classes).

Youth Sports and Recreation Manager

DEPARTMENT:   

Recreation

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE OR REQUIREMENTS:

  • Provide supervision to recreation center staff, including instructors, coaches and snack bar staff.

  • Prepare annual budget for recreation center.

  • Strong knowledge of the principals and practices of Recreation Management.

  • Develops, plans, implements, schedules programs, classes and/or camps.

  • Develops policy and procedures in support of recreation programs.

  • Enforce rules and regulations of facilities to maintain and ensure safety.

  • Process all evaluations (probationary and annual) in a timely manner.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, must be highly organized, energetic, motivated and creative.

  • Ability to write concise reports.

EDUCATION LEVEL:

High School diploma or equivalent required. College education preferred, plus 5-8 years of increasingly responsible experience in Recreation/Youth Sports. Management experience equivalent combination of experience and education that will allow the applicant to satisfactorily perform the duties of the job may be considered.

 

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

They should have a passion for working with people and healthy living. This is crucial in motivating their teams and participants. Build a strong presence in the community forming professional relationships with key community leaders and responsible for developing creative activities that residents find engaging. Must create and develop a budget. Financial management is critical to operate within a budget. Delivering year-long programs that meet community needs must be projected and managed. effectively.

Head of Early Childhood Education

DEPARTMENT:   

Barona Preschool

LOCATION:  

Barona Preschool

 

SALARY/WAGE: 

DOE

STATUS:   

Exempt

HOURS:  

Monday-Friday

8:00AM-3:00PM

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE OR REQUIREMENTS:

  • Manages staff and oversees daily operations of the preschool program.

  • Plans and implements developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities for students.

  • Provides guidance and recommendations to co-teachers.

  • Evaluates each child and plans curriculum for each student’s individual needs.

  • Plans and produces a daily schedule and school year calendar of events.

  • Plans and coordinates parent support sessions and parent education forums.

  • Conducts daily facility inspections and co-teacher observations.

  • Conducts twice-annual parent conferences.

  • Provides report cards/evaluations for each child and develops student’s individual goals for the year.

  • Implements emergency plan in conjunction with BICS Principal and office staff.

  • Establishes and maintains policies and procedures including acceptable disciplinary policies.

  • Develops and maintains current, accurate and confidential files.

  • Monitors and implements the program budget.

  • Strong independent decision-making skills; excellent analytical skills and professional judgment excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

EDUCATION LEVEL:

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education plus 3-5 years’ experience.  Any equivalent combination of experience and education that will allow the applicant to satisfactorily perform the duties of the job may be considered when filling the position.

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

Under general direction of The Tribal Council, The Preschool Director oversees, develops and implements the Preschool’s instructional program to ensure students meet social, emotional and educational standards.

Dispatcher

DEPARTMENT:   

Tribal Enforcement

LOCATION:  

Barona Tribal Enforcement Unit

 

SALARY/WAGE: 

$20.00

STATUS:   

Non-Exempt

HOURS:  

Full Time Varies

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE OR REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Knowledge and strong familiarity of computer/software skills and handheld devices.

  • Prior Law Enforcement, Military, or Security experience preferred. 

  • Previous Experience as a dispatcher desired. 

  • Work flexible hours.

  • Must be at least 21 years old. Ability assess situations quickly and document incidents thoroughly-Preferred knowledge of PL280 or experience with Tribal Governments. Multi-task between phone and radio traffic. Monitor video surveillance. Strong administrative skills.

EDUCATION LEVEL:

High School Diploma or GED is required.

College education is preferred.

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

Under the direction of the Sergeants/Department head, dispatchers are a point of contact via phone, radio, and person, providing assistance and/or direction to those needing help or information. Disseminates information between Tribal Enforcement and other agencies (Sheriff, CHP, and Fire Dept.) during a crisis.  The Barona Tribal Enforcement Unit provides patrol services to all Tribal lands except for the Casino, Golf Course, and Casino Parking Lots.
