GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under supervision, responds to fire alarms, medical emergencies, hazardous condition situations, public incidents, and other types of emergencies. Protects life and property endangered by fire and other emergencies; performs fire safety inspections, and performs related duties as required. Positions in this class are primarily responsible for the operations of a fire hose and related equipment when engaged in fire suppression and the administration of first aid when engaged in medical calls.

Sport Field Groundskeeper

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE OR REQUIREMENTS:

Maintenance of sports park facilities, grounds, buildings, restrooms, outdoor basketball, tennis courts and horseshoe pits.

Remove leaves from recreational areas, and trash disposal. Performs tasks related to sports field, maintenance: Dragging/raking, lining/painting, irrigation system operation/maintenance, laying fertilizer, temporary fencing, and weed control applications.

Maintain Snack Bar equipment to include weekly maintenance of appliances and ice machine. Receives and completes various forms, work orders reports and other documents.
EDUCATION LEVEL:

High School Diploma or equivalent and one year of experience in field maintenance or related field preferred.

Experienced in the operation of tractors, and power mowers possess knowledge of landscape construction and turf management.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Sport Field Groundskeeper is responsible for performing skilled/manual functions related to maintenance and operation of the Barona Sports Park. Duties and responsibilities include performing janitorial/custodial duties, maintaining sports field turn, preparing sports fields for practice and games, and a variety of duties in the operation and maintenance of the Barona Sports Park.
