RELEVANT EXPERIENCE OR REQUIREMENTS:

  • Class C California Driver’s License, CA EMT-P Certificate & SD County Accreditation at time of hire.

  • ACLS certification at time of hire, CPR certification, CPAT, Fire Department experience.

EDUCATION LEVEL:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent

  • Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilites is qualifying. 

  • A typical way to obtain the knowledge would be: Previous experience working as a firefighter/paramedic.

  • Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by specialized training in the Fire Sciences.

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

Under supervision, responds to fire alarms, medical emergencies, hazardous condition situations, public incidents, and other types of emergencies. Protects life and property endangered by fire and other emergencies; performs fire safety inspections, and performs related duties as required. Positions in this class are primarily responsible for the operations of a fire hose and related equipment when engaged in fire suppression and the administration of first aid when engaged in medical calls.

Sport Field Groundskeeper

DEPARTMENT:

(Occasional weekends as needed)

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE OR REQUIREMENTS:

  • Maintenance of sports park facilities, grounds, buildings, restrooms, outdoor basketball, tennis courts and horseshoe pits.

  • Remove leaves from recreational areas, and trash disposal. Performs tasks related to sports field, maintenance: Dragging/raking, lining/painting, irrigation system operation/maintenance, laying fertilizer, temporary fencing, and weed control applications. 

  • Maintain Snack Bar equipment to include weekly maintenance of appliances and ice machine. Receives and completes various forms, work orders reports and other documents.

EDUCATION LEVEL:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and one year of experience in field maintenance or related field preferred.

  • Experienced in the operation of tractors, and power mowers possess knowledge of landscape construction and turf management.

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

The Sport Field Groundskeeper is responsible for performing skilled/manual functions related to maintenance and operation of the Barona Sports Park.  Duties and responsibilities include performing janitorial/custodial duties, maintaining sports field turn, preparing sports fields for practice and games, and a variety of duties in the operation and maintenance of the Barona Sports Park.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE OR REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong knowledge of latest Windows Server OS’s as well as Exchange 2016, MSSQL, and SharePoint 2016.

  • Proficient in the use of VMware and Hyper-V virtualization.

  • Proficient in the use of Cisco hardware; firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs.

  • Proficient and knowledgeable in network security and how to prevent & respond to attacks.

  • Proficient and knowledgeable of enterprise storage platforms; SAN & NAS.

  • Proficiency managing Active Directory; GPOs, OUs, and permissions.

  • Ability to set up, manage, and restore virtual & physical backups.

  • Ability to manage enterprise Antivirus & Malware.

  • Experience using and supporting Microsoft Office applications.

  • Experience supporting mobile devices and remote users.

  • Ability to install, test, and troubleshoot various client/server software.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and schedule work assignments.

EDUCATION LEVEL:

  • Bachelor’s degree MIS and/or 3 to 5 years work experience in a server management role. 

  • Preferred Certifications: Microsoft MCSA, Cisco CCNA, Cisco CCNP, VMware vSphere 6.5

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

Coordinate with the IT Manager for implementation and maintenance of enterprise systems supporting tribal operations. Administer all aspects of an enterprise server environment. Manage the maintenance of all servers, server applications, service packs and updates. Manage backup & disaster recovery of all server and storage systems. Maintain network performance by building, configuring, and maintaining connections as well as troubleshooting network problems.

Help Desk Technician

  • Create troubleshooting documents.

  • Assist with wireless tickets.

  • Assign and manage trouble tickets for departments to effectively manage computer related issues.

  • Create purchase orders for department; receive all supply and equipment orders.  

  • Set-up audio equipment for meetings.

EDUCATION LEVEL:

  • High School Diploma or GED. Actively pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field with/or 2 or more years equivalent work experience.

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

A Help Desk technician’s job involves using computer applications for solving technical problems of end users and providing excellent service to them. It includes primarily answering phone calls, responding to e-mails, finding out specific software and hardware issues, and issuing trouble tickets to the proper department.

Tribal Enforcement Officer

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE OR REQUIREMENTS:

  • Two (2) years of prior Law Enforcement, Military, or Security experience.

  • Valid CA driver’s license, verified by DMV H-6 printout

  • Current CA Guard Card

  • Fluently speak, write and understand English.

  • Basic knowledge of computer and hand held devices

  • Personal transportation and current insurance.

  • Comply and support a Drug Free Work Place Policy.

  • Must be at least 21 years old

  • No felony or misdemeanor arrests or convictions.

  • Ability to make sound professional decisions.

  • Ability to thoroughly document and investigate incidents.

GENERAL SUMMARY: The goal of the Barona Tribal Enforcement Unit is to provide a safe and secure quality of life to the members of the Barona Band of Mission Indians and their guests. We provide patrol services to all Tribal Lands except for the Casino, Golf Course, and Casino Parking Lots. BTE utilizes a combination of vehicle patrol and other means of patrol in order to make ourselves highly visible on the reservation.
