Tribal Enforcement Officer

DEPARTMENT:

SALARY/WAGE: 

$21.00

STATUS:   

Non-Exempt

HOURS:  

Varies Must be able to work flexible hours; and weekends

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE OR REQUIREMENTS:

  • Two (2) years of prior Law Enforcement, Military, or Security experience.

  • Valid CA driver’s license, verified by DMV H-6 printout Current CA Guard Card Fluently speak, write and understand English.

  • Basic knowledge of computer and hand held devices Personal transportation and current insurance.

  • Comply and support a Drug Free Work Place Policy.

  • Must be at least 21 years old No felony or misdemeanor arrests or convictions.

  • Ability to make sound professional decisions.

  • Ability to thoroughly document and investigate incidents.

  • To be considered for the position; DMV H-6 printout, California Guard Card, Baton Card, and OC Spray must be current and available at time of interview.

  • Familiar with Public Law 280 is a plus.

EDUCATION LEVEL:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required, College education is preferred.

 

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

The goal of the Barona Tribal Enforcement Unit is to provide a safe and secure quality of life to the members of the Barona Band of Mission Indians and their guests. We provide patrol services to all Tribal Lands except for the Casino, Golf Course, and Casino Parking Lots. BTE utilizes a combination of vehicle patrol and other means of patrol in order to make ourselves highly visible on the reservation.

Recreational Leader

HOURS:  

Varies/Part Time

24 hours per week mostly during after school, some nights and weekends required.

8-hour shifts available during school vacations.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE OR REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to work with children.

  • Understanding of common sports, games and recreational activities for all ages.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Training in all areas of recreation provided.

 

EDUCATION LEVEL:

  • HS Diploma or Equivalent required.

I.T. Systems Engineer

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE OR REQUIREMENTS:

  • A+, MCP, Network + Certifications, CCNA, CCNP.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating system, Apple operating system, Apple and Android Smartphones.

  • Ability to self-prioritize and schedule work assignments and to communicate effectively.

  • Knowledge of Layer 2 network design and functionality and familiarity of SCCM/WSUS and back up technologies.

  • Experience using helpdesk and remote desktop management software.

  • Strong knowledge of creating and managing computer images.

 

EDUCATION LEVEL:

  • High School Diploma or GED and at least 4-5 years as a hands-on computer technician in a corporate environment.

 

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

Responsible for coordinating the maintenance, and expansion of the organization’s computer and network systems. Including the implementation and troubleshooting of hardware and software, and the monitoring of system performance.

Museum Programs Coordinator

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE OR REQUIREMENTS:

  • Develops partnerships with schools and other organizations to offer curriculum-based programs related to the Museum and Barona History.

  • Follows Barona’s professional standards in all education programming.

  • Performs a variety of administrative duties including planning, organizing, implementing educational programs for tribal members and public.

  • Coordinates and conduct tours and outreaches.

  • Contacts instructors, assist Director with Library and Culture classes for Barona Indian Charter School.

  • Coordinates Language program for community, work with community youth and other volunteers.

  • Assist with grant administration.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION LEVEL:

  • Bachelor’s degree in History or Museum Studies (preferred), 1-3 years of museum experience. 

  • Any equivalent combination of experience and education that will allow the applicant to satisfactorily perform the duties of the job may be considered when filling the position

 

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

: Under the direction of the Director/Curator, the position coordinates educational programs for the community and public, including field trips, tours, lectures, and other educational programs.

Executive Assistant

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE OR REQUIREMENTS:

  • Three to five years of high level administrative/executive experience; working with Elected Tribal Council Officials, Political Figures and Tribal members.

  • Knowledge of appointment scheduling, maintaining executive calendars, planning and scheduling meetings, conferences,  teleconferences, and travel.

  • Taking minutes of meetings, Tribal Council  and General Council meetings.

  • Handling expense reports, and credit card reconciliation.  

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and knowledge of Publisher.

 

EDUCATION LEVEL:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, High School Diploma or GED is required.

 

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

Under the direction of the Lead Executive Assistant, this position is responsible for the organization and completion of clerical Executive Assistant duties to the Tribal Council and occasionally may work with Government Affairs. This position interacts with the public and operational departments.

Seasonal Lifeguards

  • Red Cross Lifeguard or Basic Water Rescue certification required.

  • Weekend and Holiday shifts required.

Highschool diploma or equivalent preferred, not required.

(Active Highschool students may apply)

 

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

This is a seasonal position, training will be provided. Assists in maintaining pool for safe swimming, maintains and record chemical readings, and temperature. Performs all other duties as assigned. (We will be holding certification/re-certification classes).
